For many brand owners that are battling counterfeits and other IP infringements online, China is often the main priority. Keeping major marketplaces such as Alibaba, Taobao, JD.com and DHgate.com clean of counterfeits remains a struggle.
On the other hand, China’s IPR spending to foreign companies is rising; in the first half of 2017, a 23% increase was realized bringing it to astonishing 14.3 billion dollars business. Therefore, China also has a big interest to step up the game and protect foreign companies better.
