The Facebook content-scanning tool now allows Instagram users to identify and block video copyright infringement. Instagram had already facilitated the reporting of potential copyright violations, yet Facebook’s Rights Manager has even more features.
From their Facebook Page, Facebook’s Rights Managers can also enable this functionality for Instagram. Once enabled, the uploaded content will be scanned for Instagram and Facebook.
The new tool provides automated features to block or monitor videos matched, and a supplementary manual-review is also available.
This new extended tool for Instagram comes one year after Facebook enhanced the Rights Manager dashboard, allowing third-party integrations that help rights owners take full potential of the tool.

Why prioritize social media monitoring for your brand? Because intellectual property infringements are now more common via social networks – so it’s time to act.
